Planning Applications & Decisions

Town & Parish councils receive details of planning applications and are consulted on them. They can submit their views (taking into account parishioners’ views), but the District/Borough Council primarily look to a parish to provide local insight and may not follow the parish’s view. The public should send comments to Forest of Dean District Council within any deadline period that they set. You can also voice your concerns on planning applications to your local Parish or Borough Councillor on a planning matter.  The Town Council is also notified of all decisions.  Details of all current planning applications and decisions can be viewed on the Forest of Dean District Council website.

The minutes of the Town Council’s meeting provide details of any comments the Town Council chose to make about a specific planning application or you can find the Town Council’s comments on the Forest of Dean District Council’s website.
