Town & Parish councils receive details of planning applications and are consulted on them. They can submit their views (taking into account parishioners’ views), but the District/Borough Council primarily look to a parish to provide local insight and may not follow the parish’s view. The public should send comments to Forest of Dean District Council within any deadline period that they set. You can also voice your concerns on planning applications to your local Parish or Borough Councillor on a planning matter. The Town Council is also notified of all decisions.
